State Bar section to co-host 'Clearing the Air in 2021' online

The Air Committee of the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Michigan Manufacturers Association will present "Clearing the Air in 2021" as an online program Thursday, May 20, from noon to 3 p.m. This virtual event will feature leading professionals from government, industry, advocacy groups, and the legal profession.

Sessions will include:

• "EPA's Air Agenda: What We Know and Should Expect" with John Mooney, director, Air & Radiation Division, Region 5, United States Environmental Protection Agency

• "A Consultant's View of Air Permitting Trends in Michigan" with Brian Leahy, senior meteorologist, Barr Engineering

• "Federal Climate Policy: A Dynamic Legislative and Regulatory Space" with Jim Roush, director of Environmental Regulation and Strategy, Consumers Energy Company

• "The AQD Director's Update" with Mary Ann Dolehanty, director, Air Quality Division, Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy
