Tulsa 1921 massacre topic of ADR Section's next Book Club
The Diversity & Inclusion Action Team of the State Bar of Michigan's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section has selected the book "The Ground Breaking: An American City and Its Search for Justice" by Scott Ellsworth for its next Book Club discussion on Wednesday, January 26, at 7 p.m.
The book tells the long, untold story of the race massacre in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1921 and its cover up. It goes on to tell the story of how the cover up was overcome and the story allowed to emerge. The author was one of the people responsible for finding evidence and bringing it to light. Ellsworth is now a professor at the University of Michigan and has agreed to participate in the discussion.
Those who would like to attend the DIAT Book Club discussion should contact Shel Stark at shel@starkmediator.com.
