Macomb County Prosecutor's Office partners with Canine Advocacy Program

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office is participating in the Canine Advocacy Program in connection with CARE House to receive a therapy dog.

Canine Advocacy Program (CAP) helps child survivors of trauma and abuse alleviate anxiety, depression, and stress associated with being involved in the criminal justice system. The CAP program began at the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office and has expanded to help more government entities.

Once the therapy dog arrives, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office will work with CARE House of Macomb to achieve the greatest benefits to the children and litigants of Macomb County.

This program is paid by donations and does not come from tax dollars.
