Snowfest Will Return on January 28

The JCI Greater Muskegon’s 37th Annual Snowfest returns to Downtown Muskegon on Saturday, January 28. Muskegon’s largest winter festival features the return of Euchre Tournaments and Snow Volleyball as well as new additions including a Bloody Mary contest between downtown bars and restaurants.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. inside and outside of Trinity Health Arena with businesses throughout Downtown Muskegon participating.

Cornhole Tournaments and Snow Volleyball will run on Western Avenue between 3rd and 5th streets.

Get a tasting from Muskegon area restaurants during the Battle of the Bowls Soup & Chili Cook-Off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside Trinity Health Arena. Tickets at the door are $15 for 10 tastings.

The Legacy and Memory of Emmett Louis Till

The story of Emmett Till was silenced for over 50 years after his brutal murder on August 28, 1955. Since 2005, new information has been discovered. Presenter, Jim Herm, will share his research into the Post Civil War South, the legacy of Emmett Till, and the start of the Civil Rights movement.

The event is set 6 to 7 p.m., January 18 at the Norton Shores Branch.

Mozart &?Haydn Concert set for March 3

The West Michigan Symphony will present ‘Mozart &?Haydn,’ 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 3, in the Frauenthal Theater, with conductor Scott Speck and Njioma Grevious on violin.
