National Lawyers Guild co-sponsors 'Alternatives to Policing Panel Discussion'

The Detroit & Michigan National Lawyers Guild along with the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne State University, the Detroit Coalition for Police Transparency and Accountability, and the Michigan Coalition for Human Rights will conduct an “Alternatives to Policing Panel Discussion” on Wednesday, May 17, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Partrich Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State University Law School, 471 W. Palmer in Detroit.

Julie Hurwitz of Goodman Hurwitz & James PC will moderate the panel which will include:

• Nancy A. Parker, managing attorney of the Detroit Justice Center’s Movement Lawyering Practice

• Alia Harvey-Quinn, founder and executive director of FORCE Detroit

• Tawana Petty, convening member of Detroit Digital Justice Coalition

• Lloyd Simpson, and Detroit Will Breathe organizer
