Western Michigan University Cooley Law School’s Criminal Law Society and Black Law Student Association joined the Organization of Women Law Students to host an event on July 15, featuring WMU-Cooley graduate Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Kwamé L. Rowe.

Rowe, the second African American male and the youngest judge to serve on the Sixth Circuit Court bench, spoke about his life’s journey as an attorney and how he came to be the youngest judge in Michigan.

Donations from the event were made to the Oakland County Bar Association Foundation’s DEI Scholarship Fund.
