Oakland County Planning, Zoning, and Land Use will conduct a Virtual Planners Gathering on “Social Districts” Wednesday, August 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. via Zoom.
Post-pandemic office space demand and vacancy rates have been a moving target with remote and hybrid work becoming the norm. Meanwhile, demand for housing continues to exceed supply. Office space conversions are being touted in many areas as a logical option to meet demand for additional housing. What are national trends regarding office conversions and what does the future hold for offices? Attendees can join the webcast to hear the City of Troy’s municipal experience with office space conversions and what steps they took to be successful in this arena.
