The re-dedication of the Victims of Violent Crime Memorial (at right) was held August 12 at Cascades Park.
Local resident Larry Mentink, who died in December 2021, was instrumental in the planning and implementation of the Memorial, that was constructed in 2005.
Mentink, who lost his son Jim to a violent crime, was also an active participant in the Michigan Victim Impact Panels helping to guide Jackson youth on the right path.
