Last Thursday, Jeffery Clark was sentenced before Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Diane Druzinski on his July 2023 convictions. He was sentenced as follows:
• First Degree Murder - Life in Prison without Parole
• Felony Firearm - Two years to serve consecutive /preceding the murder sentence
• Felon in Possession of a Firearm - 4 -10 years
• Felony Firearm - Two Years
On July 27, 2023, a Macomb County jury convicted Clark, on all charges including first degree murder after a two day jury trial by Assistant Prosecutor Steve Fox. The jury returned a guilty verdict on all counts in 45 minutes before Druzinski.
The murder occurred in the City of Fraser on Monday, July 4, 2022. Clark shot Jerray Robertson after chasing him down in an apartment complex parking lot.
Clark was convicted of First Degree Premeditated Murder (life felony), Felon is Possession of a Firearm (5 year felony), and two counts of Felony Firearm (2 year mandatory felony).
“Life in prison without parole is a fitting punishment for this act of first-degree murder. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure that the defendant faced the consequences of his actions. We hope this serves as a testament to our commitment to upholding the law and protecting our community,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
