Christopher Pollack joins Varnum’s Litigations Team

Christopher Pollack has joined Varnum’s Litigation and Trial Team, and is based in the Grand Rapids office.

Pollack’s practice includes both the defense and prosecution of complex civil matters involving an array of contract, tort, and statutory claims. He represents clients throughout the litigation process, including at hearings, depositions, trial and appellate proceedings.

He joins the firm from the Washington, D.C. office of McDermott Will & Emery.

Pollack is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School where he was a contributing editor for the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.

Following law school, Pollack served clerkships for the Hon. Jeffrey J. Helmick in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and for the Hon. Robin S. Rosenbaum in U.S. Circuit Court for the Eleventh Circuit.

State Bar license renewal is open 

All attorneys in the state of Michigan are required to annually renew their license and complete mandatory regulation disclosures. 

To renew, go to michbar.org/MemberArea.

The new license year runs Oct. 1 through Sept. 30, 2024.

This year’s license renewal includes new requirements for private practice attorneys to ensure compliance with Rule 21: Mandatory Interim Administrator Planning, which requires private practice attorneys to make an interim administrator plan and name a person with knowledge of their practice. Private practice attorneys should review these requirements at michbar.org/ Rule21 prior to beginning their license renewal.

Rule 2 of the Rules Concerning the State Bar of Michigan requires all attorneys to keep a valid email address on file with the State Bar of Michigan. 

Attorneys can update their contact information, including their email address, at any time by logging in at michbar.org/MemberArea. Under the Profile heading, click “Manage” to check and/or edit contact information.
