Associations welcome law students

The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association, the Wolverine Bar Association, Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (BWLAM), and Association of Black Judges of Michigan (ABJM) co-hosted the 2023 Law Student Reception on Sunday, October 8, in Partrich Auditorium at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.  Happy to welcome guests to the reception were (left to right) BWLAM Vice President Amber Thomas of the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, BWLAM  President Delicia A. Taylor Coleman of Cain-Taylor Coleman and Assoc., ABJM President Kalamazoo County Circuit Court Judge Curtis Bell, ABJM Immediate Past President Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Kameshia Gant, Jasmine Moore with the Wolverine Bar, Straker President Tanisha Davis of TMD Law Group, and Straker board member Damien Cash of Damien Cash Law PLLC. The reception provided an opportunity for law students to meet and network with judges and attorneys who practice in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. The event also provided students with information regarding each organization’s scholarships and summer programs.
