The Board of Commissioners is seeking applications for roles on the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission and the Materials Management Planning Committee.
Applicants are sought for a partial term effective January 18, 2024 through December 31, 2025 on the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission.
The Commission's purpose is to preserve park land and to create recreational, leisure and learning experiences for Oakland County residents.
The deadline to apply for the Parks and Recreation Commission is Friday, December 15.
The Board of Commissioners is also seeking applications for individuals to serve on the newly established Materials Management Planning Committee.
Those who are selected will serve a five-year term ending on December 31, 2028. The Materials Management Planning Committee is replacing the county’s Solid Waste Planning Committee as required by Michigan law.
The Board is accepting applications for the following categories:
• Operator of a waste diversion, reuse, or reduction facility
• Operator of a business that generates a managed material
The deadline to apply for vacancies on the Materials Management Planning Committee is Sunday, December 31.
