Detroit Legal News acquires graphic arts company

The Detroit Legal News Company (OTC Pink: DTRL) has announced the acquisition of Graphics East, Inc. and its Mail Clinic subsidiary, a 40-year-old graphic arts company located in Roseville.
Graphics East is a full-service printing company offering extensive offset, digital, and mailing services.

The Graphic East operations will be consolidated into the Detroit Legal News Company’s Inland Press facility in downtown Detroit, according to Brad Thompson, CEO of the company.

“Graphics East provides a strategic set of skills and a book of business that will expand the capabilities of Inland Press while providing greater utilization of the recent state-of-the-art equipment upgrades Inland made in 2023,” said Thompson, a past president of the Michigan Press Association. “It is another step in our planned growth to be one of the Midwest’s premier graphic arts suppliers. This furthers our dedication to our shareholders, customers, employees, and the City of Detroit.”

Thompson indicated that no debt was incurred in the purchase of Graphics East, and the transaction will be paid for out of retained earnings.
