29th District Court invites public to attend a meet and greet with Judge Breeda O’Leary

As part of the National Judicial Outreach program, the 29th District Court is inviting the residents of Wayne to the courthouse for a gathering to provide information on basic court functions and an overview of the City of Wayne’s judicial system. The public is invited to meet Judge Breeda O’Leary and court staff and learn how the court functions as a part of the community.

The event will spotlight the pivotal role judges play in preserving the rule of law, building public trust, fostering confidence in the judicial system, and upholding the principles of fairness and impartiality.

Developed by the American Bar Association Judicial Division, the National Judicial Outreach program encourages judges nationwide to host public engagement events in an effort to connect with their communities. This engagement is intended to reinforce the commitment to the rule of law and strengthen the belief that local courts are unbiased, as well as serving as a vital check on other branches of government.

In addition to hosting this meet and greet, Judge O’Leary will continue her practice of visiting grade-school students in the Wayne/Westland School District by visiting with 2nd grade students on March 21, to teach students about the judiciary and our justice system.
