Virtual Planners Gathering looks at Oakland County’s workforce development services


Oakland County Planning, Zoning, and Land Use will conduct a Virtual Planners Gathering on “Planning For People: Oakland County’s Workforce Development Services” Wednesday, May 22, from 11 a.m. to noon via Zoom.

Attendees will learn more about the workforce development programs and services available to Oakland County residents, municipalities, and businesses. Participants will walk away with opportunities for apprenticeships, paid internships, and grant funds to train employees. Planners and economic developers will be empowered with a new set of tools and resources to support local businesses with their workforce needs.

Speaking at the program will be Jennifer Llewellyn, manager of Workforce Development and director of Oakland County Michigan Works.
