Representatives of Macomb County Circuit Court and the county’s Clerk’s Office recently took part in an ImageSoft Justice Summit in Grand Rapids. Court Information Systems Director Anthony June (seated to the left) and Chief Deputy Clerk Todd Schmitz (standing) shared their experiences as part of the team implementing Macomb County Circuit Court electronic filing, offering advice for other courts and county clerks considering electronic filing. The Justice Summit was an opportunity for Michigan courts to learn new and innovative ways to introduce and incorporate technology within the justice system. According to the clerk’s office, Macomb County Circuit Court now accepts more pleadings electronically than via U.S. mail.
