Michigan Retail Index reports sales drop for second month in a row
February 26, 2026Michigan Retailers Association reports that January 2026’s Michigan Retail Index score came in at 49.5, decreasing for the second consecutive month, down 3.7 points from December’s score, and marking the first score below 50.0 since August 2025. Last year, the Retail Index Score was 62.2 in January.
