Judge: State doesn’t have to give DOJ voter rolls
February 20, 2026Michigan is not required to provide the U.S. Department of Justice with its voter registration lists, a federal judge ruled recently.
In an opinion issued Feb. 10 in United States v. Benson (Docket No. 1:25-cv-1148), Judge Hala Jarbou of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan granted motions by Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and the other intervenor-defendants to dismiss.
