Associations honor their presidents

The Wolverine Bar Association, Wolverine Bar Foundation, and the Association of Black Judges of Michigan conducted their 2010 Presidents' Reception Friday, June 25, at Coach Insignia in the Renaissance Center.  An annual gathering attended by lawyers, judges, and friends in the legal and business community, the 2010 Presidents' Reception celebrates the accomplishments of two of Michigan's oldest legal organizations for African-American practitioners and jurists.  This year's reception honored Michelle A. Carter (far right), for her service as president of the Wolverine Bar Association and the Wolverine Bar Foundation, and Wayne County Probate Court Judge Judy A. Hartsfield (second from left), for her work as president of the Association of Black Judges of Michigan.  Among those thanking the presidents for their efforts were (left to right) Brandy Robinson, Wolverine Bar president-elect, and Wayne County 36th District Court Judge Cylenthia LaToye Miller, Association of Black Judges of Michigan president-elect.
