Committee helps charity

During the 2010-2011 fiscal year the Oakland County Bar Association’s New Lawyers Committee (NLC) raised money for Forgotten Harvest, a nonprofit organization working to relieve hunger in the local community.

With the generous support of their sponsor, Stout Risius Ross, and their fundraising efforts at events like Summer Splash, Novemberfest, New Lawyers vs. OCBA Board Bowling Challenge, Meet the Judges Party, and Tigers Outing, the committee raised $11,030.09 for the charity.

They presented the check to Forgotten Harvest in a special on-field check presentation at a Detroit Tigers game on Friday, June 10.

Their contribution will help provide more than 55,000 meals to families in need.

Taking part in the presentation at Comerica Park were (left to right) Oakland County Corporation Counsel Judy Cunningham, NLC Chair Kaveh Kashef with Clark Hill PLC, NLC Chair-Elect James W. Low with Sullivan, Ward, Asher, & Patton PC; Mick Kahaian with Stout Risius Ross; and Peter Fezzey with Forgotten Harvest.
