Judge orders no cable TV as part of probation

MOUNT CLEMENS (AP) -- A Michigan man who authorities say fired a gunshot near a cable television worker who was disconnecting his service due to an unpaid bill will be without cable TV for a while. Macomb County Circuit Court Judge James Biernat Jr. on Wednesday sentenced Guy Tellis of the Detroit suburb of Warren to six months in jail in the Nov. 26 shooting. And for two years of probation, the judge says Tellis can't subscribe to cable TV. Tellis earlier pleaded no contest to assault with a dangerous weapon. The Macomb Daily reports he must report to jail this week. Tellis' lawyer Cora Morgan told The Associated Press she had no comment on the case.
