Women's Equality Day recognized

Oakland County officials recently acknowledged the contributions of women in honor of the upcoming National Women's Equality Day Celebration today, Aug. 26.

Women's Equality Day is a day dedicated to celebrate the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, 91 years ago, which established women's right to vote.

Women's Equality Day is also a day that recognizes women's ongoing goals and strides for parity and equality in all facets of society.
