Committee plans health law series

At the first Breakfast Meet and Greet meeting of the Health Law Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, the attendees got down to work planning the health law series of lunch presentations to begin in late March.

The first in the series of expert panel discussions will be on “Prescription Diversion and Its Impact on Local Healthcare Fraud: It’s Closer to You Than You May Think.”

Among those taking part in the planning on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit were (left to right) Peter Caplan with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, David Rogers of Rogers, Mantese, & Assoc. PC, Donna O’Connor of Vanguard/Detroit Medical Center, and FBA Health Law Committee Co-Chairs Monica Navarro of Thomas M. Cooley Law School and Leslie Matuja Wizner with the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
