Dearborn man sues, says feds won't let him fly

DEARBORN (AP) -- A Detroit-area concert promoter who wants to travel to Lebanon is suing the U.S. government to get removed from a no-fly list. The lawsuit filed Wednesday says Saeb Mokdad of Dearborn has been barred from flying without explanation. He says he's a U.S. citizen who can't see his family. Meanwhile, his wife and children can't leave Lebanon. The Detroit News reports that Mokdad is being investigated for a possible role in the kidnappings of Syrians last year in Lebanon, in a feud involving extended family. The newspaper cites a search warrant that was mistakenly unsealed in Detroit federal court. Mokdad was in Beirut at the time but denies any role. Federal officials decline to comment.
