Free Seniors' Law Day program offered May 23
The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) will host a free legal seminar, Seniors' Law Day, on Thursday, May 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waterford Senior Center, 3621 Pontiac Lake Rd. in Waterford. Seniors' Law Day is designed to help educate senior members of the community on different areas of law and to assist attendees in finding answers to their legal questions.
Attendees will choose two informational sessions to attend and will be provided a lunch. Session topics include: Anatomy of a Lawsuit, Wills & Trusts, Medicaid Planning/ Estate Planning and Guardianships/Conservatorships.
Additionally, the participants will have an opportunity to talk one-on-one to an attorney and receive brief advice and counsel during the Ask-a-Lawyer session. The Ask-a-Lawyer session will be available throughout the day from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
