Lawsuit against judge tossed by federal jurist
DETROIT (AP) -- A federal judge has tossed a lawsuit against a suspended Wayne County judge accused of violating a man's civil rights.
U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn last Friday dismissed the suit filed against Wade McCree and Geniene La'Shay Mott by Robert King.
King alleges McCree was having a sexual relationship with Mott while presiding over a child support case between her and King. King says the judge last summer ordered him to wear an electronic tether until he paid child support.
Cohn says McCree is immune from lawsuits stemming from judicial actions, but the federal jurist doesn't endorse conduct described in the complaint.
