Attorney provides a look at practical approaches to 'Data Security Laws'
In the wake of the Target and Neiman Marcus breaches, new data security laws are being introduced at both the federal and state levels. Beyond Graham Leach Bliley Act, HIPAA and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, that each address specific types of data, there are conflicting state data protection and breach notification laws. Compliance can be challenging.
Kathy Ossian will navigate through existing laws, analyze pending legislation, and offer suggestions with "Data Security Laws: A Practical Approach." The program will be offered Tuesday, April 22, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Ossian Law PC, 701 Woodward Heights, Suite 117, in Ferndale
The program is complimentary to Ossian Law clients; $25 for all others. Continental breakfast is included. Space is limited. Register online at https://events.benchmarkemail.com/event/9A714839.
