The annual joint luncheon of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, and the Historical Society of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan will be hosted on Tuesday, Nov. 20, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Historic Westin Book Cadillac Hotel on Washington Blvd. in downtown Detroit.
The program will feature:
—Presentation of the Federal Bar Foundation's annual Rakow Scholarship Awards to students from each of Michigan's law schools.
—A special Historical Society program featuring former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kelly whose keynote is expected to include remembrances of the late Justice (and former U.S. District Judge) Patricia Boyle—the very first Historical Society Luncheon speaker—and their times together on the Michigan Supreme Court.
—Presentation of the Third Annual Barbara J. Rom Award for Bankruptcy Excellence to Steven Howell of Dickinson Wright PLLC.
