Financial seminars at public library

The Cygnet Institute of Personal Financial Literacy, a non-profit organization that promotes economic and personal financial literacy, will be presenting a two financial workshops in January at the Rochester Hills Public Library. The workshops will be held on Thursday, Jan. 14, and Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Social Security will be discussed on January 14th. Attendees will learn what claiming options are available, how benefits taxed and how to qualify for benefits. Learn why waiting to claim may cost money...or make money.

On January 19th attendees will learn how to manage their 401K. Learn that not all fees are obvious and how hidden fees reduce return investing strategies. Benefits of asset allocation and Index funds vs. Active funds will also be discussed.

The Rochester Hills Public Library is located in downtown Rochester, two blocks east of Main Street off of University Drive on Olde Towne Road.
