Michigan Roundtable announces Law Honor Roll Town Hall

The Michigan Roundtable for Diversity & Inclusion, one of Michigan’s oldest and most acclaimed civil rights organizations, is pleased to announce that it will hold a Law Honor Roll Town Hall on Tuesday, March 22, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Tech Town, which is located at 440 Burroughs Street in Detroit.

The Law Honor Roll is an initiative of the Michigan Roundtable to bring representatives from all facets of the legal profession together to promote the recruitment of diverse talent into the profession and to support efforts to retain a diverse work force.

The Town Hall will include presentations on challenges and best practices in recruiting and maintaining a diverse work force and an overview of the current state of diversity in the legal profession in southeast Michigan by Gregory Conyers, director of diversity for the State Bar of Michigan.

Advance registration by March 18 is required for the Law Honor Roll Town Hall. There is a $25 fee for representatives from non-Honor Roll member firms. Current law firm members of the Law Honor Roll include Bodman, Clark Hill, Dawda Mann, Dykema, Goodman Acker, Lewis & Munday, Miller Canfield, Plunkett Cooney, and The Sam Bernstein Law Firm.

Law Honor Roll member firms have pledged to support the work of the Michigan Roundtable to help make our workplaces and communities welcoming to people of all races, faiths,
and ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
