Judge honored by foundation

Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Wendy Potts (left) was the recipient of a 2016 “WONder Woman Award” from the Women Officials Network Foundation during its 32nd annual banquet in Troy on April 27. Potts, pictured with her sister-in-law, Barbara Yolles Ludwig, has enjoyed a distinguished 19-year career on the bench, and has been recognized state and locally for her efforts to curb jail overcrowding and to bolster funding support for drug court programs. A University of Michigan graduate, Potts earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School and served as chief judge of the Oakland County Circuit Court from 2004-10.
