The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) hosted its Youth Law Conference on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy. Taking part in the program were (left to right) Western Michigan University Cooley Law School Associate Dean Joan Vestrand, Auburn Hills campus; Oakland County Bar Foundation President Kaveh Kashef of Clark Hill PLC; Valerie Newman of State Appellate Defender Office; OCBA President David Anderson of Collins, Einhorn, Farrell PC; Julie Baumer; and Ken Wyniemko. The conference introduces high school students to the law and prepares them for the rights and responsibilities of adulthood under the law when they turn 18.
