Appellate advocacy

The University of Detroit Mercy School of Law hosted the final round of the Professor Patrick A. Keenan Memorial Appellate Advocacy Competition on March 15. Serving as judges at the event, which involved 20 teams of second and third year law students, were Kirsten Frank Kelly of the Michigan Court of Appeals, Denise Langford Morris of the Oakland County Circuit Court, and Michael Riordan of the Michigan Court of Appeals.  Claiming top honors in the competition was the team of Drew Ruby and Verkeydia Crump.
