The Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will host the 2017 Leonard R. Gilman Award Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, Crowne Plaza Detroit Downtown Riverfront Hotel, 2 Washington Blvd. in Detroit.
The Gilman Award is given annually to an outstanding practitioner of criminal law who exemplifies the excellence, professionalism, and commitment to public service of Len Gilman, who was a U.S. attorney. This year’s award recipient is defense trial attorney Steve Fishman.
The keynote speaker will be Aimee Guthat, senior attorney at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, & Loewy PLLC and adjunct professor on immigration law at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Guthat will speak about the recent changes in immigration law and policy in the United States.
