After living in D.C for two years, they returned to Michigan in 2010, where Tompert worked for his own firm as well as Ludwig and Robinson PLLC in D.C.

Tompert's favorite pastimes were golf, polo, and his passion, sailing. Tompert, Holly, and many of his family and friends enjoyed sailing together.
