Online program to look at malpractice claims

The Oakland County Bar Association’s Professional Development Committee will present “CAUTION! Avoiding and Navigating Legal Malpractice Claims and Grievances” as an online webinar on Friday, March 26, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Topics of discussion will
include:

  • Best practices to avoid legal malpractice claims and grievances
  • Tips for addressing difficult client relationships and fee disputes
  • Dos and don’ts for navigating the grievance and malpractice claims process
  • Malpractice insurance coverage and how to address insurance needs.

Speaking at the program will be Mary C. Aretha, Colleen H. Burke, Melissa E. Graves, Jeffrey R. Hicks, James J. Hunter, Laura M. McLane, and moderator David C. Anderson.

Cost for the online program is $35 for OCBA members; $25 for OCBA Professional Development Committee members; $25 for  OCBA new lawyers, paralegals, and students; and $45 for non-members,
