The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association and the Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan will present a Free Food Giveaway Community Event on Saturday, May 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Lathrup Village City Hall at 27400 Southfield Road.
Taking part in the event are Straker President Carlton Watson, BWLAM President Rita White, Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Kameshia Gant, and Lathrup Village Mayor Kelly Garrett.
Straker and BWLAM volunteers who would like to help give out free fresh food boxes should be at Lathrup Village City Hall at noon.
