The Ethics Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will present a Lunch and Learn event on “Ethical Limitations on Pleadings & Attorney Speech” Wednesday, October 20, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Speaking during the online program’s roundtable will be U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Anthony Patti, Jennifer McManus, Kenneth M. Mogill, and Lynn Helland.  They will discuss:

  • How do your ethical obligation impact your pleadings?

  • What is the intersection between your First Amendment rights and your ethical obligations in the practice of law?
  • MRPC 3.6 and Yelp reviews, media communications, and your use of social media.

The Lunch and Learn is free for FBA members and non-members can attend for $8. To register, visit https://fbamich.org/event/legal-ethics-event. A Zoom Link to join will be sent out a day in advance.
