The Wolverine Bar Association (WBA) conducted a roundtable discussion on “A Jury of One’s Peers: Fact or Legal Fiction?” Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Detroit office of Bodman LLP.
The discussion took a look at how to empanel a jury that is racially diverse and how attorneys can challenge the composition of a jury pool. Also discussed was what lawyers can do to educate the public on the importance of jury duty and eradicate procedures that systematically exclude racial minorities.
