The Wayne County Criminal Defense Bar Association has installed its officers and board members for the 2012-2013 year Sept. 7 at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice. With 465 members, the WCCDBA is the largest specialty bar association in Michigan. The one year term of office began September 1. The WCCDBA is the largest specialty bar association in the State of Michigan with 450 members. The purpose of the organization is to promote improvements in the administration of justice in the Criminal Division of the Wayne County Circuit Court. Ms. Reed has indicated that critical areas for the Association's consideration and involvement this year will be indigent defense reform, community outreach and technical support and continuing education for its membership. Membership is mandatory to receive court appointed indigent assignments. Anyone interested in membership is invited to stop by the Association's offices at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice, 1441 St. Antoine, Detroit.
