The University of Detroit Mercy School of Law's Mortgage Foreclosure Defense Clinic hosted a free consultation and legal workshop for homeowners facing foreclosure on Thursday, Feb. 7, at the School's Riverfront Campus in downtown Detroit. Among those taking part were (front row, l-r) UDM Assistant Professor of Law Joon Sung and student Matt Nicols; (back) students Josh Latzman, Ben Dacin, and Matt Chapin. UDM faculty and staff met with homeowners in the tri-county area to discuss strategies to stop foreclosures. The workshop was one in a series scheduled this semester in conjunction with Foreclosure Defense Detroit, a grant project of UDM Law’s third-year student Matt Nicols.
