The Federal Bar Association – Eastern District of Michigan Chapter’s Bankruptcy Section presented its “Consumer Bankruptcy Forum” on Wednesday, April 24, at the Southfield Westin Hotel. Panelists included (l-r) Paul Randel of Office of the United States Trustee, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Steve Rhodes, Gene Kohut of Kohut Law Group PLLC, and Caralyce Lassner of Caralyce M. Lassner JD PC. “Today we’re going to be talking about assets and Chapter 7 – specifically undisclosed assets and what happens when debtors fail to disclose those assets; how the court and the trustees follow up and discover those and what the consequences are,” Lassner said.
