Man of the Honor
Michigan Supreme Court Justice Michael F. Cavanagh (center) was honored for his exemplary service on the bench at the Michigan Irish American Chamber of Commerce (MIACC) second annual gala on Thursday, Nov. 13. The event, featuring retired Judge James L. Ryan (right) as master of ceremonies, took place at the Gaelic League in Detroit. Happy to welcome both members of the bench to the event was MMIACC President David O’Connor. “We’re truly thrilled to be honoring Justice Cavanagh at our second annual gala,” said O’Connor. “His service has been exemplary and he will be missed on the bench in 2015.” Cavanagh’s current term expires January 1, 2015. The MIACC is an organization of individuals, business people, and other community members working together to advance the business, culture, education, and civic welfare of the citizens of Michigan who are of Irish descent.
