Brinks named among top firms for utility and design patent prosecution

Brinks Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., has been recognized by The Legal 500 as one of the top U.S. firms for prosecution of utility and design patents for the seventh year in a row based on the firm's capabilities in drafting and pursuing U.S. patent applications for both domestic and international clients.

The Legal 500's team of researchers gathered feedback from peers and clients to assess the overall strength and depth of Brinks' patent prosecution practice group and on its work in portfolio management and post-grant patent practice, which includes ex parte and inter partes reexaminations, reissue applications, and interferences. Citing clients including Huawei Technologies, SanDisk and Seiko Instruments, the publication noted Brinks' ability to provide "a full patent portfolio service," and remarked on Brinks' "strong reputation in the fields of semiconductors, medical devices, telecoms, and pharmaceuticals."

Six Brinks shareholders were also recommended by the independent legal referral guide, including Ann Arbor-based shareholder and post-grant patent practice co-chair Jon H. Beaupré.
