Constitution Day in Washtenaw

Photos by Jo Mathis Constitution Day is a celebration of American democracy. On Sept. 17, volunteers from the Washtenaw County Bar Association spoke at schools in Ann Arbor, part of a national effort to educate youth on the Constitution and the Rule of Law, in honor of the signing of the Constitution in 1787. Attorneys Elizabeth Dornik, Tom Oldakowski and Ben Muth spoke at Slauson Elementary in Ann Arbor. Elizabeth Jolliffe spoke at Tappan Middle School. WCBA President Greg Dodd gave a talk at Forsythe Middle School. Kym London addressed the 8th-grade class at Tappan Middle School. Lori Buiteweg spoke at Clague and Scarlett middle schools.
