Robert Alan Warchuck

Robert Alan Warchuck, 35, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Warchuck was an amazing young man with a brilliant mind and the determination of a warrior.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 2, 1980. After attending University of Detroit Jesuit High School for three years, Robert graduated from Farmington North High School. He started at Northwood University before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He served proudly in three tours, twice in Bahrain and once in Fallujah. His nickname in the Marines was "The Motivator."

After his service Warchuck went back to school and received his bachelor's degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He later furthered his studies and obtained his J.D. degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

Warchuck was truly a caring person. He was the type of guy who would shovel his elderly neighbor's driveway, washed his neighbor's cars while he was washing his and was and was an amazing father to his children. He loved playing with them and just being one of the boys. He was so patient with his children, always taking the time to explain things to them. He also enjoyed spending time with his younger brothers, as well. One of his amazing feats was competing in and finishing the Louisville Ironman triathlon. What takes most a year to train for, Warchuck did in under 90 days. The day after, he started law school.

He was funny, quick witted, a true dreamer and an inventor. For all those who crossed his path, he will be greatly missed.

Beloved husband of Anneke. Dear father of Robert Alan II and Anthony. Devoted son of Josephine Sheppard (Jerry) and Alan Warchuck (Cindy). Brother of Rebecca Bray (Travis), Sean and Kyle. Grandson of Donald Morris. Also a loving nephew, cousin and friend.

Detroit Mercy Law is holding a reception on Thursday, January 28, at 3:30 p.m. to unveil a plaque in memory of Warchuck), who passed away approximately one month after his graduation from the School of Law.
