Attorney to run for Rochester Hills City Council

Ryan Deel announced this week that he is running for Rochester Hills City Council, serving District 4.

Deel, 40, has been a resident of Rochester Hills since 2003, with his wife Melinda and twin sons.  He is the Judicial Staff Attorney for Chief Probate Court Judge Linda S. Hallmark.  Deel is a graduate of Michigan State University – James Madison College and Wayne State University Law School.

Deel is currently the vice president of the Rochester Hills Public Library Board. He was appointed to the Library Board in 2014 and was elected to serve a full term in 2015.

Deel also serves on the City of Rochester Hills Building Authority and is on the board of directors of the Arcadia Park Subdivision Homeowners Association.  He is a member of the Friends of the Rochester Hills Library and the Oakland County Bar Association.

Deel’s wife Melinda is an attorney in private practice, with offices in Rochester Hills.  She serves on the board of directors for the Oakland County Bar Association.

“My family and I love Rochester Hills and I have been honored and privileged to serve our community in different capacities, from the Library Board to the Building Authority. We enjoy a wonderful quality of life in Rochester Hills and I want to continue the high-level of service our residents have come to expect,” said Deel.
