During the 2017-19 bar years, the ABA YLD is committed to making home a safe place for everyone.  Through its national public service project, Home Safe Home, YLD will address four types of home violence – intimate partner abuse, child abuse, elder abuse and animal abuse – through education, outreach and advocacy.

The division will launch Home Safe Home with the Dandelion Project at Sprout City Farms in Mountair Park, 5620 W. 14th Ave., Lakewood, CO 80214, on Friday, Oct. 6, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. The Dandelion Project is a therapeutic gardening opportunity to promote healing and health for children and youth who have experienced abuse, neglect or other traumatic experiences. The project is in partnership with Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, which has been devoted to providing legal and clinical services to families for 35 years. Its mission is to transform the lives of abused, neglected and at-risk children through compassionate legal advocacy, clinical services, education and public policy reform.
