The annual joint luncheon of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, and the Historical Society of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan took place Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Historic Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. Among those attending the event were (l-f) Ed Kronk of Brooks Wilkins Sharkey, & Turco PLLC; Southfield attorney David Ruskin who received the Annual Barbara Rom Award for Bankruptcy Excellence during the lunch; FBA President Jeffrey Appel; FBA?Program Chair Dan Sharkey of Brooks, Wilkins, Sharkey, & Turco PLLC; FBA Treasurer Fred Herrmann of Kerr, Russell, and Weber PLC; Alan Harnisch of Lippitt, O’Keefe, Gornbein PLLC; and FBA Vice President Matt Lund of Pepper Hamilton LLP. The program also featured the presentation of the FBA’s annual Rakow Scholarship Awards to students from each of Michigan’s law schools.
