Luncheon Speaker

The Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association (MIPLA) hosted its January luncheon on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Skyline Club in Southfield. Speaking at the lunch was Marc Lorelli of Brooks Kushman (center) who spoke on “The ‘Other’ Judicially Created Patentability Exception: Design Patent Functionality.” Lorelli is the co-chair of Brooks Kushman’s intellectual property litigation practice. His current practice includes experience with Post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Thanking Lorelli for speaking at the luncheon were (l-r) MIPLA President Karin Butchko of Carlson, Gaskey, & Olds PC, and MIPLA 2nd Vice-President Christopher Smith of Brooks Kushman PC.
